Privacy

Short version: we hold what we need to quote and carry out your move, we do not share it, and this site sets no cookies and runs no tracking of any kind.

What we collect

Your name, phone number, email address and the two addresses involved in the move. During the video survey and on the day itself we take photographs of your belongings and of both properties. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation and the phone number attached to it are held by WhatsApp under their own terms as well as by us.

Why we hold it

To prepare your quote and to carry out the move — that is, to perform a contract with you, and where you have contacted us before any contract exists, on the basis of your consent. Those are Article 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not add you to any list.

The photographs, specifically

We photograph your items and both homes before and after the move because that is what turns a disagreement about damage into a claim that can be settled from evidence. Those photographs are held for as long as a claim could reasonably be made and then deleted. We do not publish photographs of your belongings or your home anywhere without asking you first, in writing, after the move.

Who else sees it

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or share your details with third parties. The only exceptions are the ones we cannot refuse: a legal obligation, or a claim under the goods-in-transit insurance, where the insurer needs the relevant file.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and loads no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. Nothing here is tracking you. If that changes — if we add web analytics or advertising — you will be asked for consent before anything loads, and this page will say so.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to us holding it at all. Write to ola@calmamovers.com and we will answer. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, at cnpd.pt.
